Another Voyage
02:35
|
|||
I grew up on a boat
Everyday waken up by its horn
But boundaries are the shores
Thus we never set off nor we ever land
You may not agree but a land is just a bigger vessel
Yet ocean never block away the lands
Instead, it’s the only path to the world
So I’d say
Let the wave carry up and down
With or without you I’m sailing on
The storm will sweep us to the land of Oz
Set sail from the dawn
The wind summons us all
Heave away, feel the salt in your eyes
It’s time we go on another voyage

If there’s a land with free air to breathe
If there’s a bridge we could walk across
And if there’s a sky we could sleep underneath
If there’s a place where we share who we are without regret
If no one’s afraid to love what they love
No one’s afraid to fall apart
If no one’s to blame, if no one’s to hate
No one to feel ashamed
This will be my prepared goodbye
If someday, if you receive it
Please save some tears for more tomorrows to shed
No matter how the fear approach anywhere, anyhow
You gotta show your burning name, waving flag
Somewhere a land where we could be proud of
a place we call home
A home that’s more than just piles of bricks
Home is where you know you can be who you want to be
Where we love
I believe we are born to love
Although broken glass reflects broken hearts
No one wants to be such an angry man
No one wants to fall apart nor to be ashamed
In case I’m gone, I’ve prepared my goodbye
If you receive it
Please save some tears for more tomorrows to shed
No matter how the fear approach anywhere, anyhow
You gotta show your burn....
You gotta prove that you have once lived
Hold on to your pain, don’t let them wipe it away

Engraved In The Moon
04:47
|
|||
Here’s my souvenir for you
A handful of promise that I once have made
Moon dust
The proof that I have engraved your name on the far side of the moon
It’s a truth or it’s a lie?
You’ll never know if I only face you with one side
Craters
The proof that we are protected by the sacrifice of the moon
Boiling lava blood solidifies my trace of escape and struggle
Let it rain, all the meteor rain
No more fear now
No more force tears us apart
When our names are hidden in the safest place
Let’s go somewhere far away
Let’s make somewhere else home
Not any light could reflect
Our secret base on the other side
This is the only way we could survive...vive!
drip, drip, vive.
dripping, dropping, meteor rain
drop, drip, drop, drip

The Sun Song
07:32
|
|||
Silky heat softly touches the tattered flag you wave
Burning wind excites the sweat, makes broken pieces chime
The beam enlights the dusty world and evaporates the woe
Such a warm language you speak that melts my wall of ice
Rains have become the pond inside
Reflects even more color than a rainbow ever has
There was once a giant chasing the sun
Fighting against the wind and wave
Laughing at the storm
His eyes outshine the sky
Need no shade to hide
Reminds me of an old dream that I haven’t thought of for a long
But why? Can I still recognize the song of mine?
The one that I have written
For the morning dew that awakes the rising sun which atones the past

When we celebrate flowers dying
Broken petals wither and fall
Then we mourn how life’s a spark lost in the dark
Can I be found on the map of stars?
When our footprints become fossils
When an amber freezes all my thought
We’ll become crystal thousand years from now
Will they know how to understand all our facial expressions
When they see one of us laughing with tears or crying with a smile
Not a photograph can store our sepia dreams
Yet dreams are just chemical reactions in our brains
Like potassium, sodium, calcium and such
How I miss the gravity supporting unconditionally
Orientation is missed when the sun don’t rise from east
Have we really left behind all our history and time
We cry and mourn for how memories fade away
With our hair of grey
Will there be rain? What’s the color of the sky?
Will we have a moon to bring along the tides?
How can I keep track of time? How long is a day?
Will we be the smallest creatures? Or invading giants?
Are we dust that no one notices like ashes from the fire?
Nothing will ever be the same
Everything will have to change
We cry and mourn for how beauty fades away
Until we learn to celebrate stars dying
How the explosion bursts into light
Yes, we’ve traveled thousands light years from home
When will we know how to move on from this point of no return
There’s no word to describe
Why laugh with tears or cry with a smile
And this is how we’ve become one of the stars that we wished upon
Our past gone in the dark but shines in our heart
We’re one of the stars that we wished upon

What’s the secret of herons in the world of us dreamers
That they do come back (They’ll come home, they’ll come home)
In the world that’s blinded and shifting
They scream so you can hear them
They’re on their way
YenTing and Mateusz, that is what you just heard now
The secret of herons

Mateusz Pulawski Amsterdam, Netherlands
Pulawski (1991) stands out with his virtuoso skills and the freedom with which his compositions move. Despite being overcome
by the romanticism he is certainly not avoiding the confrontation with challenging improvisations. (..) he's dosing his jazzy orchestral chord work with the melodic solos, where his fabulous techique calls up the memories of the legedary Wim Overgaauw.
